January 2017 Monthly Headers & Extra's

BLOG UPDATE: Due to a misinterpretation on my part of the Terms of Use, any printable of mine where I have used an icon downloaded from flaticon.com, the link to the download has to be removed from my website. It is considered “Redistribution” and is not allowed. What is allowed, is for me to make a post or video for you showing how you can download the icon from flaticon.com’s site, and show you how to change and edit the icon for yourself, and use for your own personal use. I will work on making videos for you showing my design process in the future, but for now, I am not allowed to let you download the printable from my blog.

As for the posts that I have used flaticon.com’s content, I will leave up a picture of the printable I made, but with a watermark over the top. I will have all of the appropriate links to flaticon.com, so that you can download the icons I used in the printable and directly from them, and be inspired to make the printable for your own personal use.

What does this mean for myplannerenvy.com? Right now I am working on finding Commercial Use Icons that I can use in my printables and upload THOSE into my past printables. This is going to be a long process for me and I still plan on coming out with new printables for you guys, but I want to do it right. I hope that you can be patient with me as I reformat and upload all of my printables so they that they can be used and downloaded honestly.

HERE is a link to a blog post that I made back in December 2015 showing how to make Planner Icon Stickers using Icons from flaticon.com. Since making this video, they have changed their options, and they give you the option to download the Icons in different colors now. Also in the video I say to download the Icons as a PNG, but I would download them as SVG, so that each element of the icon will be it’s own section and you will not have to break it apart to color it. I plan on making an updated video showing and going my in depth, but for now, this will have to do for those of you who want to make these stickers for yourself.

This month I decided to go with the Monthly Header Cover with the days. I have felt very overwhelmed with making the whole monthly cover for all of the different planners. This way, the colors of the planner page are still covered up and you can customize the layout to your liking. I used the Universal Blank version in my Carpe Diem Planner and I love the way it turned out. If I can, I will take a pic and post it after I have the whole month decorated. I just put down the Headers and Date Covers and trimmed off the excess of the Headers from my page and wrote in the first one or two letters of each day of the week above each corresponding row. Also you can use this version if you have a European Calendar or if you prefer your calendar week to start on a Monday.

Here is a preview of the available printables for the Vertical Erin Condren, Recollections Creative Year Planner, the Classic Happy Planner, Big Happy Planner, a Blank Universal Planner, and a Mini Happy Planner Version and unfortunately I had to remove them from the site, but I am working on getting them back up. I just need to get some Icons that I can use for Commercial Use.

Here is a preview of the printable I made for myself and I hope this inspires you to create your own printable to use in your planner:
If you use any of my printables in your planner, take a picture and tag me @myplannerenvy on Instagram or post your picture on my Facebook Page so I can see them in use. It really makes me happy to see others using my printables, plus it gives me new inspiration on how I can decorate my own planner and improve my printables to make them more universal for all planner lovers. :)

If you want to be updated on when I have new printables, you can subscribe to my blog by email. Even if I upload 4 times that day, it will only send you one email. (I know this because I signed up using another email address I have to see how they looked and how often I would get emailed.) To sign up, there is a section below the Donate section at the very top of the right hand side of my blog, that says Follow by Email. Just enter your email address in the box and hit submit. I promise you won't be spammed, as I haven't been spammed and I have been "Following" my own blog for a long time now.

PLEASE NOTE: I recently learned that MAMBI changed the weekly box size of their newest release of the Big Happy Planners. All of the stickers designed on this blog under the Label BIG HAPPY PLANNER, were made using the dimensions of the Original Stay Golden July 2016-December 2017 Big Happy Planner.

    1. I made the blank one for use for any other planners you might have. I used the blank one for my Vertical Carpe Diem Planner and they worked perfect! I just had to hand cut the excess off of the sides and top and write in the days of the week where I wanted. I will take a pic and post it as soon as I can to show you.

    1. I would use the Blank Version for now. That is the one I used in my Carpe Diem inserts, I just had to trim off the excess and write in the days of the week. I might pick up a mini HP from Michael's. I think they are 50% off right now.

  8. I really like these, but does the Coiled Recollections planner mean the Spiral Planner? If so, are you going to make any that fit the Creative Year Planner by Recollections?

    1. The Creative Year spiral bound/coiled planner is what I am using this coming year. Any Vertical Erin Condren size Printable will work for it. I don't plan on making specific printables for it because I don't mind the extra space on the side.

  9. Thank you so much! I have the Recollections A5 3 ring inserts that are undated, these are a tremendous help!!! I'm using these for my December layout, I know I'm a bit late, but I use my planner as a memory book too so being a bit late isn't a problem for me! Thanks again!

    1. That is awesome to hear! You are the planner I had in mind when I switched to this monthly format. My Carpe Diem inserts are also undated and I find these so helpful for decorating my A5 planner. I have had so much fun making the Holidays and Special Holidays and I love how functional and creative you get to be to customize a monthly layout that suits your style. Thanks for the comment...it made my day!

    1. It definitely takes some practice to get all of your settings and cuts right, but once you get the hang of it, it becomes second nature. I watched a ton of Youtube videos for tips and tricks. I hope to get some more videos out on how I make all of my printables, for those who are like you and new to the Silhouette Cutting World.

    1. Just be patient trying to figure out the cut settings, depending on your sticker paper you have. I went though a ton of paper before I figured out to move the speed and paper thickness down to like 3 and 4 and blade set to 1 or 2. I was leaving the setting that Silhouette suggested and it was cutting through my paper and scarring my mat. So I guess my tip is, start out slow and if it doesn't work, move up the settings until it kiss cuts your paper.

  14. Hi! I love your free printables, they are exactly what I am looking for! However, I have a silhouette curio and my cutting mats proportions are smaller than the size your printables download into my studio as. Is there a way around this, such as moving some of the printables to a different sheet? I tried to move them earlier, but the entire sheet moves, and I cannot isolate the ones I need to move. Thank you for any response you give.

    1. I don't upload the individual images for copyright purposes. You will have to use the utility knife feature in the software to move the individual images.
