December 2016 Monthly Cover Overlays & Universal Extras - Free Planner Printable

BLOG UPDATE: Due to a misinterpretation on my part of the Terms of Use, any printable of mine where I have used an icon downloaded from, the link to the download has to be removed from my website. It is considered “Redistribution” and is not allowed. What is allowed, is for me to make a post or video for you showing how you can download the icon from’s site, and show you how to change and edit the icon for yourself, and use for your own personal use. I will work on making videos for you showing my design process in the future, but for now, I am not allowed to let you download the printable from my blog.

As for the posts that I have used’s content, I will leave up a picture of the printable I made, but with a watermark over the top. I will have all of the appropriate links to, so that you can download the icons I used in the printable and directly from them, and be inspired to make the printable for your own personal use.

What does this mean for Right now I am working on finding Commercial Use Icons that I can use in my printables and upload THOSE into my past printables. This is going to be a long process for me and I still plan on coming out with new printables for you guys, but I want to do it right. I hope that you can be patient with me as I reformat and upload all of my printables so they that they can be used and downloaded honestly.

HERE is a link to a blog post that I made back in December 2015 showing how to make Planner Icon Stickers using Icons from Since making this video, they have changed their options, and they give you the option to download the Icons in different colors now. Also in the video I say to download the Icons as a PNG, but I would download them as SVG, so that each element of the icon will be it’s own section and you will not have to break it apart to color it. I plan on making an updated video showing and going my in depth, but for now, this will have to do for those of you who want to make these stickers for yourself.

UPDATE PLEASE NOTE: I recently learned that MAMBI changed the weekly box size of their newest release of the Big Happy Planners. All of the stickers designed on this blog under the Label BIG HAPPY PLANNER, were made using the dimensions of the original Stay Golden July 2016-December 2017 Big Happy Planner.

Hello again! Welcome back for another Monthly Cover Squares Post. I hope you guys still love these as much as I do. I honestly hardly ever look at my monthly spread more than once a week and I love to just decorate the whole thing at once and get it over with. These just make it so easy!

For this month, I went with neutral colors that I felt best suited the winter season. I just love the icy blue colors with pops of gold and silver. I hope you love it as much as I do! If you have any questions of how to use the Universal Extras, go to this post HERE where I posted several pictures of how I used them in all 3 of my planners.

I have made a set for the Erin Condren, Regular Happy Planner, and the Big Happy Planner. I decided to only do a PDF Overlay Version again for this month. It is just way easier for me to do it this way. Less time and less pulling out of my hair. :)

For the June Monthly Cover Squares, I had a request from a follower to make the Happy Planner version like I did the Erin Condren version, with the Top Header and the Goals sidebar. So I went ahead and I did as she wanted and I made a version for the Happy Planner. But here's the thing, no one Happy Planner is alike. What I mean by that is the Top Headers and decorative elements are all different and for that reason, the Header might not cover up all of the words and decoration that is already printed on the page. If that will bother you, cut up some blank sticker paper and cover the printed images above the calendar squares and then lay down your stickers. Or Better yet, cover it with some washi that matches the theme of the overlay.

NOTE: With the new Erin Condren Planner that was released in June, there was a difference in the height with the Header at the top of the calendar. I watched a video and she said it was a difference of 3/16ths, so that is the measurement is used. I have an old Erin Condren and I just lined the top of the header with the top of the page and laid it down and it worked out fine. If you have a new Erin Condren and use this printable in your planner, let me know how adjusting the header worked out for you. I tweaked it a little from last month with the help of a wonderful fellow planner named Kathy. I hope that this tweak will work for you. I guess I just need to bit the bullet and buy an Erin Condren, but honestly the amount of money the cost kills me. I can buy a leather Filofax for what you pay for an Erin Condren, and to be honest, I would rather have a Filofax any ay of the week before an Erin Condren.

Click on the actual picture for the jpeg file and click the links below the picture for the pdf and studio3 file with the cutlines included for your Silhouette Cutting Machine (this is the exact bundle I bought). You can cut these out buy hand using Scissors (these are the scissors I use when I cut by hand). Also, I get messages asking me about the paper I use to print with. I use and have every kind of inkjet paper they offer in white and clear in the Full Back (No Slit).

Here is a preview of the available printables for the Vertical Erin Condren, Regular Happy Planner, and Big Happy Planner:

NOTE: I had to remove some of the printable links. Those that you can still download will have the link below them. Those you cannot will have a watermark over the picture.

If you use any of my printables in your planner, take a picture and tag me @myplannerenvy on Instagram or post your picture on my Facebook Page so I can see them in use. It really makes me happy to see others using my printables, plus it gives me new inspiration on how I can decorate my own planner and improve my printables to make them more universal for all planner lovers. :)

If you want to be updated on when I have new printables, you can subscribe to my blog by email. Even if I upload 4 times that day, it will only send you one email. (I know this because I signed up using another email address I have to see how they looked and how often I would get emailed.) To sign up, there is a section below the Donate section at the very top of the right hand side of my blog, that says Follow by Email. Just enter your email address in the box and hit submit. I promise you won't be spammed, as I haven't been spammed and I have been "Following" my own blog for a long time now.

  1. Beautiful as always.

Is there any way to use a circuit for cutting this?

    1. I suggest you watch this video. This video is very informative and shows you exactly how to convert a Silhouette file into a Cricut file. She even used one of my printables to demonstrate the process. Best video I have seen on YouTube.

  2. Would you do a Sticker Sheet with To do ; Today ; Goals headers? I find I am using those the most and never having enough? please :)
Loving your designs ! Have a great day!

    1. Do you want Headers for the weekly pages or the monthly sidebar?

    2. for the weekly pages:)if possible . Thank you

  3. How do you use the overlay? Do you print it on transparent sticker paper?

    1. I print mine on regular sticker paper and trim around it with scissors. I would not do transparent because then you would be able to see everything behind it. If you look at the July 2016 Monthly Cover Overlay post, I did a pictorial showing you exactly how it lay it down in my planner.

  4. this is beautiful. I just recently got the Happy Planner mini since my old happy planner was destroyed by my roommates dog (sad day). Any plans to start doing layouts for the mini? Still plan to use your stickers and just trim them down or resize what I can to fit in my new planner :) I just love them

    1. Thank you so much. I am not sure if I will be doing any sticker samplers or monthly overlays for the Mini Happy Planner. I have so many planners and I seriously don't ever know what I would use the Mini Happy Planner for. It might change if there is a big enough request for them though. I will for sure let you know if I do decide to start though. :)

  5. Such a pretty overlay and great extras! Thank you, Jessica!

    1. You are so welcome. I just love the change and love the way they look in my planner.

  6. I read your notification at the top of your page, I am sorry you have to redo your blog pages. Will you be redoing your sampler at the bottom. I truly hope so I LOVE this theme and I also like the little extras that you add in for ugly sweater day etc. My only wish or request would be for a few extra No Work stickers similar to the No School. I know a lot of our employees take a lot of time off at this time of year :-) Otherwise you are doing an AMAZING job <3

    1. I plan on trying to reformat all of the printables I had to remove. Slowly but surely. The reason why I don't do more no work and sick day stickers is because I don't work and it would take up a lot of space on the printable and I would have to remove the holidays like Ugly Sweater Day, etc. I think a printable that said No Work would be awesome for my followers who do work. I will put it on my To Do List.
