Berlin Sampler

BLOG UPDATE: Due to a misinterpretation on my part of the Terms of Use, any printable of mine where I have used an icon downloaded from flaticon.com, the link to the download has to be removed from my website. It is considered “Redistribution” and is not allowed. What is allowed, is for me to make a post or video for you showing how you can download the icon from flaticon.com’s site, and show you how to change and edit the icon for yourself, and use for your own personal use. I will work on making videos for you showing my design process in the future, but for now, I am not allowed to let you download the printable from my blog.

As for the posts that I have used flaticon.com’s content, I will leave up a picture of the printable I made, but with a watermark over the top. I will have all of the appropriate links to flaticon.com, so that you can download the icons I used in the printable and directly from them, and be inspired to make the printable for your own personal use.

What does this mean for myplannerenvy.com? Right now I am working on finding Commercial Use Icons that I can use in my printables and upload THOSE into my past printables. This is going to be a long process for me and I still plan on coming out with new printables for you guys, but I want to do it right. I hope that you can be patient with me as I reformat and upload all of my printables so they that they can be used and downloaded honestly.

HERE is a link to a blog post that I made back in December 2015 showing how to make Planner Icon Stickers using Icons from flaticon.com. Since making this video, they have changed their options, and they give you the option to download the Icons in different colors now. Also in the video I say to download the Icons as a PNG, but I would download them as SVG, so that each element of the icon will be it’s own section and you will not have to break it apart to color it. I plan on making an updated video showing and going my in depth, but for now, this will have to do for those of you who want to make these stickers for yourself.

UPDATE PLEASE NOTE: I recently learned that MAMBI changed the weekly box size of their newest release of the Big Happy Planners. All of the stickers designed on this blog under the Label BIG HAPPY PLANNER, were made using the dimensions of the original Stay Golden July 2016-December 2017 Big Happy Planner.

Hi everyone. Welcome back for another Freebie Friday. I think we all know by now that this is Sampler Day on my blog. It's what a lot of you come for…a quick and easy way to decorate your weekly spreads, and I'm all about quick and easy and more than happy to oblige you! :)

This weeks sampler is a very simple and neutral color palette. I just love the simplicity of this sampler and I hope you do too!

I made Sampler for the Vertical Erin Condren, Classic Happy Planner, Big Happy Planner, and unfortunately I had to remove them from the site, but I am working on getting them back up. I just need to get some Icons that I can use for Commercial Use.

Here is a preview of the printable I made for myself and I hope this inspires you to create your own printable to use in your planner:
If you use any of my printables in your planner, take a picture and tag me @myplannerenvy on Instagram or post your picture on my Facebook Page so I can see them in use. It really makes me happy to see others using my printables, plus it gives me new inspiration on how I can decorate my own planner and improve my printables to make them more universal for all planner lovers. :)

If you want to be updated on when I have new printables, you can subscribe to my blog by email. Even if I upload 4 times that day, it will only send you one email. (I know this because I signed up using another email address I have to see how they looked and how often I would get emailed.) To sign up, there is a section below the Donate section at the very top of the right hand side of my blog, that says Follow by Email. Just enter your email address in the box and hit submit. I promise you won't be spammed, as I haven't been spammed and I have been "Following" my own blog for a long time now.

  1. I am not gonna lie I am going to miss the 2nd page but WOW that is a lot of work for one post plus the two other posts you do each week. I just blessed that you share with us each week. I couldn't have a pretty planner without the freebies you so graciously share with us each week. I am loving the universal items that can be added on to any of the Friday Samplers.

    1. It was a lot of work and it was getting to the point where it wasn't any fun at all anymore. Then I just dreaded being at my computer! I want to go back to doing what I want and not killing myself trying to please everyone because trying to please everyone was killing my creativity. Thank you for your kind and constructive opinion and for understanding where I am coming from.

    1. You are too kind and I appreciate your comment. I love sharing what I design with the planner community. If you and your daughters are planner girls, shopping on etsy for stickers to decorate with would definitely add up. I am glad you found me and continue to come back. Thank you.

  3. Much prefer the 2 page layout, often with the one page ones I get really stuck what to put with it and end up with gaps in my planner. I just started a new planner and changed my layout to work around the 2 page planner style, so kinda disappointed to see I won't be able to continue with this.

    1. I am sorry to disappoint you. May I ask, what parts of the 2 page samplers did you use that are now missing from the one page Sampler?

  4. SO glad you are going back to 1 page layouts, so you can post sampler sets more often! I can definitely see where 7 different pages for one sampler set would be overwhelming. Anyway- just wanted to applaud you for having the courage to say no (such a tough thing to do sometimes!) in order to keep things simple and manageable. I have been consistently using your sampler sets for over a year now- thanks so much for your work!

    1. Thank you so much for taking the time to write this. I needed to read this today. I beat myself up quite a bit when I can't please everyone, but I get to the point where I try and try and try to please everyone and then I don't want to create printables anymore. It seriously got to the point everyday where I thought, "I don't want to make printables anymore!" Going back to one page Samplers and giving myself a break is what I needed to do to alleviate some stress in my life. Thank you for understanding and for your support.

  5. Thank you for all that you do. One page is plenty for me as I am not a "no white space" kinda girl. :-)

    1. You are welcome and thank you for your support and understanding. I have never been a no white space planner. Seeing a spread with no white space gives me a panic attack!

    2. Haha I like white space and using wasabi and stamps in my planner! Love your work!

    1. If you go to my Facebook page, you will see that I have like 10+ pages of 1/2 and 1/4 boxes posting that are exactly like the ones on the second page. They are in every color in the rainbow and then some, so you can use 14 1/2 boxes if you needed to.

  7. Thank you for the sampler. I love it. I'm new to planning. I don't have a fancy planner so I use old planner and your stickers to decorate it.

  8. With a Silhouette we can use some of your patterning to create a second page still right? If people really want to?

    2. Gotta love autocorrect! You could try and make a second page using the first page if you really wanted to.
